Soapbox Derby

April 24 - June 17, 2018

The 4th annual soapbox derby program gives kids the opportunity to imagine and create the car of their dreams. Kids, ages 8-14, design and build rideable cars out of wood, chickenwire, and recyclables. Over the course of seven sessions they learn how to safely use power tools through hands-on exercises and demonstrations on tool safety, concept development, frame assembly, steering mechanics and wire forming.
