Soapbox Derby

Make the plywood car of your dreams in our 11th annual Soapbox Derby program! This 7-week program provides step-by-step instructions for how to build a gravity-powered derby car from scratch. We’ll start by drawing our concepts on paper, then we’ll work with power tools to assemble our ideas, piece-by-piece. Imagine — a car designed to look like a cheetah, a bow of ramen noodles, or a Lamborghini. Anything is possible! At the end of the program we will celebrate with our grand finale Soapbox Derby event.
