Workbench kit

Build your own workbench at home with our first DIY kit! This child-sized workbench is perfect for your garage, basement or backyard makerspace. The kit includes all of the lumber and screws you'll need to assemble at home, and the option to rent a kid-friendly drill if you don't own tools.

Workbench Dimensions

  • Width: 4’

  • Depth: 25”

  • Height: choose your own custom dimension to make your workbench appropriate for your child’s height. You will be prompted to select a height dimension at check-out. Here are some age-specific recommendations:

    • Ages 5 to 7 – 22 to 25 inches high

    • Ages 8 to 10 – 24 to 29 inches high

    • Ages 11 & Up – 30 to 36 inches high

Place your order

Workbench kits will be available for curbside pick-up at my workshop, located at Knoll Farm, 700 Bragg Hill Rd, Waitsfield, VT. All tools will be sanitized before and after each transaction. The rental period is 7-days from the day you pick-up your kit.

Workbench Kit (materials only) includes:

  • Pre-cut lumber

    • 2x4’s cut at various dimensions for legs and frame

    • 4’ x 25” x 1/2” plywood for top

  • T-25 decking screws (2 1/2”, 1 3/4”)

Tool rental includes:

  • 12v Impact driver (kid-friendly)

  • 12v Battery

  • Speed square

  • Clamp

  • T-25 Drill bit

  • Measuring tape
